Each Wednesday join our FREE children's playgroup for an hour session of fun, music, story and activities.

Each week there will be a different theme which is perfect for kids aged 5 years and under.

Date & Time: Every Wednesday, 10am-11am. 

Location: Play On Wednesdays is held at our children's playground, outside Aldi!

Wednesday 22 April - Building Fun 🦺

Let’s start the term off with some Building Fun this week at Play On Wednesday! Join in for an hour of music, story, craft and smiles all based on this week’s theme of Building. Hold a real hammer, learn about different tools, build some fun things with your friends out of blocks and have a go at building your own house with popsicle sticks and glue at the craft table.

Wednesday 29 April - Recycling and Inventing 🚛

Recycle, Upcycle, Reuse and have a load of fun using recycled materials to invent and create new things. Bring the children along to Play on Wednesday to learn about recycling. Through music, play, story and craft the children will be encouraged to use their own imaginations and create endless possibilities. Use the recycled materials of boxes, bottles, bits n bobs and lids to create unique designs at the craft table.

Wednesday 6 May - Mother’s Day 🌷

Join us this week to celebrate the beautiful women in our children’s lives. We’ll be honouring Mothers and Grandmothers this week through songs, story and discussion and the children will enjoy crafting a special craft activity to take home as a gift for a special loved one.

Wednesday 13 May - Australian Animals 🦈🐫🐊

Come and meet Koko the Koala at today’s session. We’ll be hopping like kangaroos, burrowing through tunnels like wombats and getting crafty at the craft table all themed around our beloved Australian animals. Try doing the Australian puzzle in the play area or sit back and enjoy a story.

Wednesday 20 May - Overseas Travel Fun! 🛫

It’s a small world after all and so many wonderful cultures, cities, languages and landmarks to explore on planet Earth. Have fun singing and playing your way around the world as we head off on an exciting imaginative overseas adventure to experience it all! Don’t forget your passports!

Wednesday 27 May - Outer Space Adventures 🚀

Zoom Zoom Zoom, we’re going to the moon today! Blast off in a rocket ship and explore the planets and outer space through musical activities, games and story, plus a super fun planetary craft activity.

Wednesday 3 June - Welcome Winter ⛷️☃️

It’s the first full week of Winter this week. Come and make snow balls out of paper and dance the Winter Hokey Pokey. Feel free to rug up in beannies and scarves and enjoy an hour of wintery play with your friends.

Wednesday 10 June - Alphabet Soup! 🥣

Learn your ABC’s as we sing and dance our way through the Alphabet. We’ll play letter games, enjoy a story and do a fun alphabet craft activity.

Wednesday 17 June - Colours 🌷🐊🐟🥕🧀

Bring your sunglasses this week because it will be bright at Play on Wednesday! A beautiful session where the children will learn to recognise and enjoy all of the colours of the rainbow and more. Bring your friends along for an hour of educational entertainment, engaging with your little one through song, games, story and craft.

Wednesday 24 June - Favourite Numbers 💯

Join in with fun activities as we learn all about numbers through engaging music, activities, story, craft and play. Write, recognise and count numbers up to 10 today.

Wednesday 1 July - What Shape Is That? 🟨🟣🟥🟡

There are so many shapes all around us! We’ll be learning to recognise different shapes this week through play. Enjoy activities, story, lots of songs today and craft as we explore together.

Today’s session will be the last one for the school term and we look forward to seeing you back on Wednesday July 22.
